Gloria Grehl, B.S. Business Management, DTM, and StrengthsFinder® Coach, has worked in business management and communications for Fortune 500 companies throughout her career.
Skilled in assessing needs and organizing details to solve problems and lead projects, she is recognized as a capable manager of promotional and special events. She is also well-known for her keen eye when it comes to writing and editing copy. Most recently Gloria has offered personal coaching and training to individuals, consulting services for businesses, and keynote presentations to organizations and associations.
At Marriott Worldwide Vacations, Gloria promoted a culture of recognizing “awesome associate performances” by managing six company-wide recognition programs, two ongoing and four annual, which resulted in steadily increasing Gallup percentile employee satisfaction scores. She received the Human Resources Circle of Stars Award, Team Achievement in Customer Service in both 2006 and 2005.
She used her marketing and communications skills in several capacities, including program development and training, during her time working in the Sales and Marketing Department of Universal Orlando Resort. Gloria had the pleasure to be there during Universal’s growth years as they expanded from one park to the entertainment giant they are today.
A member of Toastmasters International since 1989, Gloria holds the designation of DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) and has presented more than 120 speeches and seminars. Her Toastmasters experience includes: leadership, training, event coordination, speech competitions, marketing, membership development, publishing, public relations and social media. During the Toastmasters International 2012 World Convention, she was an Event Chair, managing the operations and volunteers for the Information Center that serviced 1,800 attendees. Gloria has received the Club Toastmaster of the Year Award five times. In 2011, the District 84 Governor presented her with the District 84 VP Public Relations of the Year Award.
Gloria has been a life-long community volunteer, especially in the arts and education. She is passionate about education, volunteering with the Eti-Keys Training Group. She has also been a tutor for Orange County Public Schools and the Adult Literacy League. Gloria also enjoys being a member of the Orlando Museum of Art.
